[OOC] Three. Two. One...One...One...

I had planned to make this announcement through some rousing “Apocalypse Canceled” type of post, but that would certainly be anticlimactic at this point.  Anyhoo, yeah…SURPRISE and Merry Giftmas! INSILICO is here to stay (again)! It just took a while to get all these ducks lined up. Suffice to say though, it’s pretty much official. We live on.

So what does this mean to you, as players? Well, it simply means that you and your characters get to live on too! This world won’t be ripped out from under your feet, and there won’t be any major shakeups/downs/outs. The Southeast AI arc was put in place as a potential catalyst for the city’s evacuation if it came to that, however we also intentionally left it open ended. It will now continue on however it naturally will (so get your synthetic asses in gear).

The biggest change coming through is that we can now strive be nearly 100% RP focused. Without the need to continually generate revenue from rentals/sales/donations, we have been freed to divert our energies into more important things. Traditional rentals will be replaced with residential/RP locations made available to active players...BUT more on that later as we actually work out those details.

In the meantime (as I’ve pretty much concluded on every post of this emotional rollercoaster)… RP!

Relevant to my interest. And Rhiannon's, since I have two heads here.

This is welcome news, glad to hear financial dependency isn't as much a factor now.

It is great news that Insilico will continue for the foreseeable future, and I wish this great city and all its residents well for the future.

I'm not sure, however, what place I have here in this new regime. I rented in the city for more than six years, and though I freely admit that I have not been active in role-play, owing to my time-zone and other commitments, I liked to think that I was a contributing part of the community rather than a distraction. Insilico will always be close to my heart, and I'll be a frequent visitor, but I guess I'll feel like a visitor too, rather than a citizen. I'm a bit sad about that.

Do not downplay your contributions to the Sims, and by extension, the roleplay. It is because of renters that InSilico survived as long as it did. Especially considering that roleplayers have always been the minority of those renters. So I sincerely thank you. You are always welcome here.

That was the BEST notice I could ever have. I have been taking a break on RP, and I really want to come back to an environment I can "understand". If Insilico still wants this player, this player still wants Insilico!!

(Got a different character tho... lol...)

Best Giftmas gift, ever! Just because I'm not lurking on the servers, doesn't mean I don't miss all of you.
